My purpose is to make people happy.
Recently, I performed as a passionate and devoted Principal Experience Designer, consulting as the UX Team Lead for a large telecommunications company, overseeing five team members for four work streams. Previously I was a Senior Designer at CaringBridge, a nonprofit whose mission is a world where no one goes through a health journey alone. I’d love the opportunity to tell you about my interests and passions.
To expand on my purpose—to make people happy—successfully emerges by giving people a recipe of listening, respect, thoughtfulness, and a smile. Once one's needs are known, it becomes a mission of mine to deliver. Starting my career focusing on efficiency, organization, and exemplary customer service, I was able to deliver the highest quality of product and secure happy clients.
My experience working with a team in the field of customer service quickly allowed me to grow into a position which gave me the depth, scope, and wide range of creative freedom; a single-acting creative at a growing Minnesota business. Having my hands in everything from branding to print, web, photography, copywriting, social media and analytics, my heart began to grow near and dear to the self-managed discipline. At the same time, the chance to offer up good storytelling blending with the creative outlet of digital design started to emerge. With all areas we cannot control, we can control customer service and how we treat others. Accuracy to produce and deliver the highest quality of product became my passion.
It was then I knew I was meant to be here, in the world of helping others.
Providing thoughtful solutions though a clean structure and concrete goals, designing interesting and meaningful products, and executing success was clearly my calling. I found through this process, aligned with empathy and a great desire to serve others, the result is a high return on investment and a happy client. I also found this is a key component in satisfying user experiences.
I am passionate about offering my expertise in UX research and strategy, human-centered design, specifically being an advocate and steward to the brand, providing accuracy in the highest quality to include inclusive and accessible designs, motivate and enjoy open communication within teams, discuss design thinking strategies, build stronger relationships between stakeholders and technology, and offer training and usability insights for both internal and external users.
Although a snippet into my work, hope you began to get a feel for the type of design solutions I provide. At the end of the day, I truly want to make you happy and one way I can obtain that level of success is building a strong relationship and working together with you.
